Communes and wards with rich revolutionary traditions in Ca Mau province continue to receive attention from the Party, the State and authorities at all levels to recognize their contributions during the resistance war by being recognized as safe zone communes. The recognition of safe zone communes and wards is not only a tribute to the history and people of the revolutionary land during the resistance war, but also contributes to improving social security policies in the recognized localities.

Ms. Vo Thi Tinh (Tan Tien commune) expressed her pride and joy when the locality was recognized as a safe zone commune. Tan Tien commune was established on the basis of merging Tan Tien commune and Nguyen Huan commune (belonging to the old Dam Doi district) with a population of about 34,000 people. Before the merger, these two communes were both safe zone communes according to the decision of the Prime Minister .

According to Ms. Son Thi Sa Qui (Hung Hoi commune), the locality is recognized as a safe zone commune, people will enjoy preferential policies on development and social security, thereby helping to stabilize life and improve the quality of life of the people.

People living in safe zone communes and wards will be issued health insurance cards and enjoy payment for medical examination and treatment costs at the highest level of current regulations; at the same time, they will receive support for infrastructure investment and socio-economic development in the locality.

People residing in safe zone communes and wards during the resistance war (not belonging to the subjects who have enjoyed health insurance under other groups) will have their health insurance paid by the state budget. When people go for medical examination and treatment with health insurance, 100% of the costs will be covered. In addition to the health insurance policy, safe zone communes are also given priority in resources and development support programs to improve people's living standards.
