Restoration and upgrading of the memorial temple dedicated to the 10 heroic martyrs of the Hon Khoai uprising.

VHO - The People's Committee of Ca Mau province has just approved the investment policy for the project to renovate and upgrade the Temple of 10 heroic martyrs of Hon Khoai uprising in An Xuyen ward, to show the deep gratitude of the people to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

At the same time, through the restoration of relics and the construction of solemn and dignified memorial spaces, we aim to educate present and future generations about the tradition of patriotism, bravery and heroic sacrifice of our ancestors.

The Temple of 10 Heroes and Martyrs of Hon Khoai Uprising was ranked as a provincial historical and cultural relic by the People's Committee of Ca Mau province in 2011.

According to the approval decision, the total project investment is more than 6.1 billion VND from the provincial budget in the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period and the 2026-2030 period or other legal capital sources.

The scale of investment in renovation and upgrading of the items includes: Temple with area, Management and Operation house, lake and Hon Khoai island model, relief, power supply and outdoor lighting system, gate and fence...

Relief at the Temple of the 10 Heroes and Martyrs of Hon Khoai Uprising

The project is managed by the Ca Mau Provincial Construction Project Management Board and is scheduled for implementation from 2025 to 2027. The Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Department of Construction full responsibility for all information and data in the Investment Proposal Report, as well as for receiving and responding to comments from relevant departments and agencies, ensuring the feasibility and effectiveness of the project.

Every year, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau organizes the Memorial Ceremony for Heroes and Martyrs of Hon Khoai Uprising to express the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", to remember and show gratitude to those who heroically sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people.

The Temple of the 10 Heroic Martyrs of the Hon Khoai Uprising was classified as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic by the People's Committee of Ca Mau province in 2011. Initially a Martyrs' Cemetery, it was invested in and upgraded into a spacious temple, serving as a "red address" for educating about revolutionary traditions and commemorating the heroes who sacrificed their lives in the Hon Khoai Uprising 85 years ago.
