On December 10th, the Hue Imperial Citadel Relics Project Management Board announced that it had completed the project dossier for "Restoring the landscape of the Nam Hung and Tay Trinh valleys" in the Hue Imperial Citadel. The dossier is currently being compiled by the Hue City Department of Culture and Sports and submitted to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for appraisal as per regulations.
Previously, the Hue Imperial Citadel Relics Project Management Board publicly posted information about the project at the relic site, distributed questionnaires to gather community opinions, and opened suggestion boxes in the presence of relevant parties.
The results show that the majority of votes agree with the plan to beautify the landscape at the two bays of Nam Hung and Tay Trinh, laying the groundwork for the next steps. Some suggestions from organizations and individuals have been incorporated, revised, and refined by the consulting unit.

The project "Conservation, restoration and embellishment of the Hue Imperial Citadel system - Restoration and embellishment of historical relics" was approved by the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province (now Hue City) in 2011 and its implementation time was adjusted to the end of 2025 with many projects and items.
Specifically, the project "Renovating the landscape of Nam Hung and Tay Trinh straits" has an investment of over 30.2 billion VND, aiming to start construction in the first quarter of 2026 and is expected to be completed within 2 years.
This project will include the construction of a system of walkways paved with Bat Trang tiles, a community activity area, a parking lot, a multi-purpose information center, along with a landscaped area, trees, lawns, etc., in the style of an open landscaped park.
Upon completion, the landscaped areas at Nam Hung and Tay Trinh straits will contribute to restoring the harmonious appearance of the Hue Imperial City and create additional scenic highlights, serving both local residents and tourists.
