Al Nassr paid Inter $25 million in transfer fees and $109 million in three-year salaries to acquire midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.
The Croatia international has agreed personal terms with the Saudi Arabian club and will undergo a medical on June 30. In Saudi Arabia, Brozovic will receive a salary of $109 million for a three-year contract until 2026.

Brozovic initially rejected a move to Saudi Arabia. He was pursued by Barca, but the Spanish club deemed Inter's $25 million asking price too high for a 30-year-old player. On the evening of June 29, Barca President Joan Laporta confirmed that Barca would not sign Brozovic.
Barca's withdrawal has helped Al Nassr convince Brozovic to change his mind. He will be the second signing of the Saudi Pro League runners-up in the summer of 2023 after recruiting Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea. Al Nassr is the club that started the trend of attracting European players to play in Saudi Arabia, after recruiting Cristiano Ronaldo in January.
Brozovic scored three goals and provided six assists in 40 appearances for Inter last season. He left Dinamo Zagreb for Serie A in 2015 and has become one of the best defensive midfielders in the world . With Inter, Brozovic won the 2020-21 Serie A title, the 2021-22 and 2022-23 Coppa Italias and two 2021 and 2022 Italian Super Cups. The Croatian midfielder also helped Inter reach the European Cup final twice - the 2022-23 Champions League and the 2019-20 Europa League - but both times failed.
After letting Brozovic go, Inter immediately approached Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi. Directors Beppe Marotta and Giovanni Carnevali arranged a meeting with the player's agent to finalize the deal as soon as the transfer window in Italy opens on July 1. According to Sky Sport Italy , Sassuolo will accept an offer of $25 million plus striker Samuele Mulattieri.
