Cultural life flourishes on the island district

(ABO) Through many years of implementing the renovation process led by the Party, Tan Phu Dong district, Tien Giang province has achieved many achievements in all fields, including building a cultural life.

Tan Phu Dong district organized a traditional music exchange to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

In previous years, many cultural institutions in Tan Phu Dong district have not been built. Cultural activities and cultural life of the people are still very limited. Implementing the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", every year, the district's Department of Culture - Information advises the District Steering Committee to develop a plan to improve the quality of the movement according to the prescribed contents. At the same time, guide the Steering Committees of communes to mobilize people to register to build cultural families from the beginning of the year with the criteria specifically stated in the registration form.

By the end of the year, the Steering Committee organized the evaluation of the title of cultural family according to the correct procedure, ensuring publicity and democracy. The results of the movement to build cultural families have increasingly developed. The rate of households registering and meeting the standards of Cultural Family each year is higher than the previous year; 100% of households registered, and over 95% of households were considered to be Cultural Family.

In recent times, the Steering Committee for the implementation of the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" often organizes the festival of typical cultural families in the district and participates in the provincial cultural family festival. This is to promptly commend and reward and replicate households that build and promote the good traditions of Vietnamese families, where husband and wife are harmonious, equal, together taking care of economic development, raising successful children...

Thereby, it has had a positive impact on the awareness of each member in each family to improve themselves, strictly comply with all policies of the Party, policies and laws of the State, and work towards the goal of building a "prosperous, equal, progressive and happy" family.

Tan Phu Dong District Culture - Sports and Broadcasting Center regularly organizes cultural and sports events.

During the construction process, up to now, the district has 35/35 cultural hamlets of 6 communes. To improve the quality of cultural hamlets, every year the district's Department of Culture and Information coordinates with relevant levels and sectors to conduct inspections to improve the quality of cultural criteria. At the same time, organize preliminary and final assessments to draw lessons for the movement.

In addition, in order for the Cultural Hamlet Management Boards to have good facilities to operate, up to now, most of the cultural hamlets in the district have offices and many inter-hamlet cultural houses. Each commune has also built a Cultural - Sports House or Cultural - Sports Center, contributing to improving the spiritual and cultural life of the people and serving the construction of new rural areas and advanced new rural areas.

Particularly, the movement to build public cultural life is maintained and implemented regularly. Every year, 100% of agencies, schools and 6/6 communes register to implement. The Department of Culture and Information coordinates with the District Labor Federation to mobilize cadres, workers, civil servants and employees in agencies, departments and branches of the district to actively participate in building cultural agencies.

Thereby, the facilities and working environment are increasingly spacious, communication and behavior at work demonstrate a cultural lifestyle in public. As a result, the rate of agencies achieving the title of cultural agency is increasing.

Typically, in 2024, 61/61 cultural agencies (100% rate) were recognized as cultural worship facilities. Especially in rural areas, places of worship were recognized as cultural worship facilities. Building cultural behaviors among religious dignitaries and worshipers contributes to building a healthy religious environment and preventing superstition.

The model of cultural worship facilities has developed well and has been enthusiastically responded to by many religious dignitaries in localities in the district. The district has built and launched a total of 6 cultural worship facilities, including 2 churches, 3 pagodas and 1 temple. In addition, the district also has 42 cultural routes contributing to maintaining social order and safety, traffic safety, ensuring environmental landscape, contributing to increasingly changing the appearance of rural areas in the district.

Over the past years, the district's Department of Culture and Information has received support from the Party Committee, government and related departments, and has gradually overcome difficulties in building infrastructure and upgrading cultural institutions with a total budget of billions of dong.

Cultural institutions have created conditions for people to have places for entertainment and creative enjoyment of cultural and spiritual values. The District Cultural - Sports and Broadcasting Center was invested in and put into use by the District People's Committee, which is a highlight in the field of cultural construction of the island district.

In general, after many years of implementing the movement to build a cultural life, Tan Phu Dong district has achieved many remarkable results.
