Thanh Hoa launches model new rural commune

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Phan Phung Phu, member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Secretary of the Town Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Cai Lay Town; Pham Van Trong, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Minh Hung, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation; Tran Thi Be Bay, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment; leaders at all levels through the periods; together with representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches, Cai Lay Town People's Committee and people of Thanh Hoa commune.

Comrade Phan Phung Phu, comrade Pham Van Trong and comrade Tran Thi Be Bay awarded the Certificate of recognition for the commune meeting the model new-style rural standards, a symbolic plaque presenting a 2 billion VND welfare project and flowers to congratulate Thanh Hoa commune.

Thanh Hoa commune was recognized as meeting the new rural standards in 2017 and recognized as an advanced new rural commune in 2021. The whole commune currently has 51 communal roads, hamlet roads, and alley roads with a total length of nearly 32 km. Currently, 77.6% of the routes have been installed with lighting systems, 96% of the routes meet the criteria of bright - green - clean - beautiful.

In addition to the state budget investment, Thanh Hoa commune focuses on promoting the meaning and benefits of upgrading and developing rural transport under the motto "The State and the people work together". From there, it has received the consensus and active support of the people in the commune through voluntary land donation, financial contributions, and working days to complete the lanes and inter-hamlet traffic bridges.

Comrade Pham Van Trong awarded Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee to individuals with achievements in implementing and building Thanh Hoa commune to meet model new rural standards.

In addition, Thanh Hoa commune promotes its potential and advantages in agricultural production, encourages people to change crop structure, link production with product consumption; promotes garden economic efficiency, with high-quality durian varieties. The whole commune has more than 548 hectares of durian gardens, with a yield of 20 tons/ha.

In addition to agricultural economy , Thanh Hoa commune focuses on developing trade - services and small-scale industry. The commune has 181 small-scale production - business establishments and 14 enterprises operating in the fields of handbags; construction design; petroleum trading, creating jobs for local workers. The average income per capita of the commune currently reaches 83.7 million VND/person/year; the multidimensional poverty rate has decreased to 0.28%.

Comrade Tran Van Thuc, Deputy Secretary of the Town Party Committee, Chairman of Cai Lay Town People's Committee spoke at the ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Tran Van Thuc, Deputy Secretary of the Town Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cai Lay Town, said that Thanh Hoa Commune is the third commune to meet the model NTM standards in Cai Lay Town. From July 1, 2025, Thanh Hoa Commune will be merged with Ward 2, Tan Binh Commune to establish Thanh Hoa Ward. This is an important step, a new phase with a higher goal, towards building a ward that meets civilized urban standards.

Thanh Hoa Commune is determined to make more efforts, to promote the strengths and potentials of the locality, to focus on mobilizing all resources and to unite to improve the quality and maintain the regulations of a model new-style rural commune. Although the merger to establish Thanh Hoa Ward is coming, the values of a model new-style rural commune still need to be maintained, promoted and improved to ensure the quality of life of the people, and to develop the economy, society and culture in a sustainable manner.
