Vietnam women's football team ends training session in Japan

VHO - The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) said that the Vietnamese women's football team has finished playing the last friendly match, thereby concluding the training session in Japan to prepare for the 2026 Asian women's qualifying round.

The Vietnamese women's team just played their final friendly match with the Osaka University of Health, Sports and Science women's football team during their training camp in Japan. The final result was a 1-1 draw.

This is the match that coach Mai Duc Chung used the starting lineup with goalkeeper Kim Thanh and defenders Chuong Thi Kieu, Luong Thu Thuong, Tran Thi Thu, Hoang Thi Lam and Ngan Thi Van Su.

In the front line, midfielders Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy, Duong Van, Thu Thao and Nguyen Thi Van, above is the appearance of Huynh Nhu. The only adjustment in the starting lineup of the Vietnamese women's team is the appearance of Hoang Thi Loan replacing Thai Thi Thao.

The opposing team took the lead in the 6th minute, but not long after, Tran Thi Thu Thao scored to tie the score at 1-1.

Previously, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team won against Iga Kunoichi Mie FC with a score of 3-2 and won against Tezukayama Gakuin University 3-1.

Thus, the Vietnamese women's team has completed its training camp in Japan with 3 friendly matches.

Coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will return to Vietnam and be present in Viet Tri ( Phu Tho ), the venue for the group stage match of the 2026 Asian Women's Championship on June 18.

Huynh Nhu and her teammates will have 10 more days to complete the final preparations before entering the official tournament.
