
In the sacred atmosphere, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team expressed their determination to complete the important tasks ahead, aiming for high results at the 33rd SEA Games. The players also expressed their desire to contribute, their fighting spirit for the national flag and Vietnamese pride.
In the early morning of November 21, the entire team will depart for Japan for training. In Nagoya city, the Vietnamese women's team is expected to have high-intensity training sessions and 3 friendly matches to test the force and perfect tactics. This is considered an important preparation step, creating a foundation for the team to aim for the 33rd SEA Games taking place in Thailand next December. The training session is expected to help the Vietnamese women's team improve their physical strength, hone their mettle and competitive spirit.

At the 33rd SEA Games, the women’s team is in Group B – considered to have many challenges as opponents Malaysia and Myanmar maintain a stable force, while the Philippines has a squad with many naturalized players. The Vietnamese women’s team is currently in a transitional phase, with many young players needing time to nurture and develop.

Before departure, the women's team faced a disadvantage when midfielder Nguyen Thi Van was injured in a practice match on the afternoon of November 18, 2025.
