Vietnam team received good news from FIFA after victory

In the 2027 Asian Cup qualifying match at Go Dau Stadium (HCMC) on the evening of October 9, the Vietnamese team won 3-1 against Nepal. Although this was a hard-fought victory for coach Kim Sang Sik's team, it helped the team improve their morale after the 0-4 defeat against Malaysia.

Notably, Malaysia surpassed Indonesia to take the 119th position in the world. The “Tigers” were awarded 6.77 points after the victory over Laos. Thanks to that, they increased 4 places in the FIFA rankings.

The Thai team also received 6.71 points after the victory over Chinese Taipei. They moved up 2 places to 99th in the world. The “War Elephants” are the only Southeast Asian team in the world’s top 100.

Like Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand have a chance to increase their points when they meet Laos and Chinese Taipei again on October 14. Meanwhile, Indonesia faces the next difficult challenge from Iraq at 2:30 a.m. on October 12. If they fail, Indonesia will be eliminated from the fourth qualifying round and continue to lose points in the FIFA rankings.
