Welcoming the first flight from Taipei International Airport to Hue

On the evening of August 18, the first flight numbered VJ8693 from Taipei International Airport - Taiwan (China) brought 114 passengers to Phu Bai International Airport, Thua Thien Hue province.

This is a flight operated by Hai Van Cat International Travel Joint Stock Company in coordination with Taiwanese partners and Vietjet Air Joint Stock Company to open a direct flight route from Taipei International Airport (Taiwan) to Passenger Terminal T2 - Phu Bai International Airport after it officially comes into operation.

Attending the welcoming ceremony were representatives of the Department of Tourism , Phu Bai International Airport, Central Aviation Authority at Phu Bai International Airport, Vietjet Air and the Provincial Tourism Association. Representatives of the units presented fresh bouquets of flowers and typical gifts of Hue to the first guests landing on the plane.

The program of welcoming the delegation and giving gifts has brought visitors good impressions of the friendliness and hospitality of the government and people towards international visitors to Thua Thien Hue province and the efforts of businesses to organize flights and bring visitors; contributing to widely promoting the activities and ground services of Passenger Terminal T2 - Phu Bai International Airport after it was officially inaugurated and put into operation; at the same time, introducing Hue - an attractive, safe and friendly tourist destination for domestic and foreign visitors in general, visitors from Taiwan in particular.

Ms. Tien Tran, a Taiwanese tourist, shared: “This is my first time coming to Hue via a direct flight to Phu Bai International Airport. My first impression was very impressive with the enthusiasm of everyone here. I hope this will be an interesting and meaningful trip.”

The first flight from Taipei International Airport (Taiwan) brought 114 passengers to visit, learn about and experience tourism in the localities: Thua Thien Hue - Da Nang - Quang Nam in a 5-day, 6-night program. In Thua Thien Hue province, the group will visit tourist attractions such as the Imperial City, the tomb of King Khai Dinh, the tomb of King Minh Mang... and Thien Mu Pagoda; experience cycling cyclo, cruising on the Huong River and enjoying Hue cuisine. On this occasion, Thua Thien Hue province also has preferential policies for travel agencies and tourists, such as: 50% discount on tickets to visit Hue relics, arranging a performance of Royal Music to welcome the group of tourists at Ngo Mon Gate - Hue Royal Palace.

In 2023, Hai Van Cat International Travel Joint Stock Company, in coordination with Taiwanese partners and Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company, will continue to open more flights to bring tourists from the Taiwanese market to Thua Thien Hue with a frequency of 3 flights/week from August 18 to the end of October 2023.
