Members of the Provincial Standing Committee: Nguyen Duc Tuan, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Bui Quang Binh, Director of the Provincial Police Department and leaders of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Provincial Veterans Association, and Cam Giang district also attended.
Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang visited and presented gifts to war invalid Nguyen Ngoc My, born in 1935 in My Ngoc village; war invalid Nguyen Van Menh, born in 1932 in My Hao village and Mr. Pham Van Huu, born in 1965 in Thu Lang village (same commune as Ngoc Lien), who worships martyrs who participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.
Hai Duong Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang expressed his gratitude and deep appreciation to the wounded soldiers, martyrs and the children of Hai Duong who directly contributed to the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory.
Recalling the heroic moments of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign with the veterans, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang said that the Party Committee, government, people and the entire political system of Hai Duong province always remember the merits and sacrifices of the previous generation; constantly determined to carry out the goals and tasks for Hai Duong to develop further. He wished the wounded soldiers, relatives of martyrs and their families good health, to continue to contribute and dedicate to the development of their homeland and the province.
The war invalids and martyrs' families expressed their excitement at receiving the deep gratitude from the authorities at all levels on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024). The war invalids and their families wished the leaders good health, continued good performance of their duties, and important contributions to the development of the province.
As of April 12, Cam Giang district had 30 people who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign still alive and 21 martyrs.
