Dong Dang: Reviewing the implementation of key projects

- On September 8, 2025, the Steering Committee for compensation and site clearance for Dong Dang commune projects (Steering Committee) held a meeting to review the implementation of key projects.

Currently, in Dong Dang commune, there are 3 key projects including: Huu Ngh - Chi Lang border gate expressway project, project to expand specialized freight transport road in the area of milestone 1119 - 1120 (Phase 2); cargo transit area project in Dong Dang - Lang Son border gate economic zone (Phase 2) and resettlement area.

The total area recovered by the 3 projects is nearly 230 hectares with more than 1,200 households affected. As of early September 2025, the commune has coordinated with the Provincial Land Fund Development Center to hand over about 145/230 hectares of land. Of which, the project to expand the specialized freight transport road in the area of markers 1119 - 1120 (phase 2) has handed over 100% of the volume with an area of 2.5/2.5 hectares and is implementing compensation for the dumping area; the Huu Nghi - Chi Lang border gate expressway project has cleared and handed over 97% of the area, currently there are 10 households that have not yet handed over; the cargo transit area project in the Dong Dang - Lang Son border gate economic zone, phase 2 has handed over 2.3/78.8 hectares and is implementing a compensation plan.

At the meeting, members of the steering committee, investors, and the Provincial Land Fund Development Center focused on clarifying difficulties and obstacles; proposing solutions to promote site clearance progress such as: continuing to mobilize the political system to campaign, persuade, approve official plans, urgently build resettlement areas, strengthen coordination with agencies and units to handle obstacles...

To speed up the progress of site clearance for projects, the Steering Committee of Dong Dang commune proposed that in the coming time, the Provincial Land Fund Development Center; investors and contractors continue to coordinate with the commune to carry out site clearance for projects. At the same time, investors assigned to implement resettlement areas need to speed up construction to create land funds for households. At the same time, the Steering Committee requested the specialized department of the Commune People's Committee to closely review the land recovery records of each project to develop a plan and approve it to ensure that it is adequate for the affected people.

Regarding the specific progress of each project, the Commune Steering Committee requested: At the Huu Nghi - Chi Lang border gate expressway project, the professional department must completely resolve the 10 households that have not been handed over before September 15, 2025; for the cargo transit area project, the investor must provide land plot measurement records before September 15, 2025 for the commune to carry out the next steps; for the project to expand the specialized cargo transport road at the area of landmarks 1119 - 1120 (phase 2) of the smart border gate construction project, the professional department must review the notice of land recovery for the dumping site in phase 2.
