Just hours after Japan issued an emergency tsunami warning, a strange sight occurred on the coast of Chiba: many large whales suddenly drifted ashore and lay motionless on the sand.
The incident was quickly recorded and broadcast live on Japan's national television channel NHK around the late morning of July 30.
