To support the flood victims, the government, organizations and individuals in many localities across the country have shared with the people through practical actions, demonstrating the spirit of "helping each other" of our nation.
Support people to overcome the consequences of floods
On the morning of November 24, responding to the call of the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front , many agencies, units and people of the capital simultaneously organized fundraising activities to support people in the Central and Central Highlands regions who are suffering heavy losses due to prolonged floods.
Right from the beginning of the morning, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi city launched a donation program with the spirit of "mutual love".
Officials, civil servants, public employees and workers of the participating agencies donated at least one day's salary. The entire amount will be given to the Relief Fund of the City Fatherland Front Committee to be transferred to people in disaster areas.
Party cells under the Hanoi City Fatherland Front Party Committee also organized their own fundraising, demonstrating the responsibility and pioneering role of party members.

Standing Vice Chairman of the City Fatherland Front Committee Pham Anh Tuan said this activity aims to spread the spirit of solidarity and encourage all classes of people in the capital to join hands to support people in flood-affected areas.
At the Party Committee of Hanoi City Party agencies, 20 cadres, civil servants and contract workers contributed one day's salary, earning 10 million VND to the relief fund.
Responding to the campaign, Long Bien ward and Sung Phuc Zen Monastery prepared about 20 tons of essential goods including food, medicine, blankets and books. The items were classified and carefully packaged before the support convoy left for Dak Lak province (formerly Phu Yen ) in the morning.
In Viet Hung ward, members of the Women's Union quickly collected clothes, food and household items to send to people in affected areas. Many religious establishments, schools, businesses and volunteer groups in Hanoi also launched donations at the same time, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity with compatriots.
In Thu Lam commune, Do Thi Bich Diep's family and women's union members of Thiet Ung village wrapped nearly 1,000 banh chung in just two days (November 22-23) to send to people in Phu Yen province (old). The gift contains sentiments and spiritual encouragement for people in the flood zone.
In Thanh Liet Ward, cadres and women's union members of residential groups 9 and 10 prepared gifts worth 40 million VND including rice, instant noodles, fresh bread, milk, drinking water, toothpaste, seasoning powder and clothes to support people in Dak Lak. Previously, the ward mobilized more than 19 million VND in necessities to send to the Central provinces.
The Women's Union of Hoan Kiem Ward actively mobilized its members to contribute. In the latest donation, the ward collected more than 300kg of clothes, blankets and many gifts to send to children in Hoang Su Phi Commune (Tuyen Quang) and other Central provinces, with a total value of more than 50 million VND.
Ngoc Ha Ward Women's Union recorded a donation of 24.7 million VND after only one day of launching. This amount was transferred to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City to promptly support people in difficulty.
The meaningful activities of cadres, women's union members and people of all walks of life in the capital continue to demonstrate the spirit of humanity and community responsibility.
The Association at all levels and the functional agencies of Hanoi are propagating and mobilizing to accompany the people of the Central and Central Highlands regions to soon stabilize their lives after natural disasters.
Spreading the spirit of solidarity
On the same day, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, Nguyen Van Ut, chaired a meeting to receive support for people in the Central Highlands and Central regions affected by storms and floods.

At the reception, Ms. Le Nu Thuy Duong, Chairwoman and General Director of KN Holdings Group, presented a symbolic plaque, through Dong Nai province, to the people affected by storms and floods with the amount of 14 billion VND supported by Long Thanh Golf Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company and KN Holdings Group.
Speaking at the reception, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province Nguyen Van Ut expressed his gratitude for the kindness and noble gesture of the leaders of Long Thanh Golf Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company and KN Holdings Group for the people affected by natural disasters and floods.
According to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, the damage caused by natural disasters and storms and floods in many provinces and cities in the Central region in recent times, especially the historic floods in the South Central provinces in recent days, has caused many losses in human lives and property.
Mr. Nguyen Van Ut emphasized that the Party Committee, government and people of Dong Nai province, with the tradition of mutual love and affection, have carried out many fundraising activities to support compatriots in recent days.
Under the direction of the Provincial Party Secretary and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province, Vu Hong Van, Dong Nai province established a military and civilian medical team of 200 people to visit and support people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and soon stabilize their lives.
Ms. Le Nu Thuy Duong said that Long Thanh Golf Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company and KN Holdings Group registered to support people affected by natural disasters and floods with 22 billion VND.
Of this amount, the company transferred 14 billion VND to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province. Through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province, the company wishes to transfer to the people of the heavily damaged provinces and cities including Hue, Lam Dong, Dak Lak, Gia Lai and Quang Ngai.
Ms. Le Nu Thuy Duong hopes that with this joint contribution and sharing, the spirit of solidarity will be spread, contributing with the community to help people in areas affected by natural disasters soon overcome difficulties.
According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province, recently, the people of Dong Nai province have actively responded to the call to support people in provinces and cities affected by storms and floods. As of November 24, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province received nearly 18 billion VND.
