Comrade Dang Duc Hiep: The first Congress of the Party Committee of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat took place in the context of the people of all ethnic groups in the ward joining hands, being united, having strong political determination, the consensus of the entire people and the participation of the entire political system in implementing the two-level local government.

Implementing the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", the congress is an important political event, with the task of evaluating the results of implementing the Resolution of the Party Congress (Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 10 (old)); deciding on the goals, directions and tasks for the development of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat in the next 5 years. The congress was carefully, thoroughly and responsibly prepared in accordance with the direction of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee. The Congress of Party delegates at the commune and ward levels is an important political event, a festival of the whole people - a place where the will, belief and aspiration for sustainable development from the grassroots converge.

Comrade Dang Duc Hiep:
Although we are a newly established unit, with the consensus of the entire political system and the support of the people, we have achieved some remarkable results.

Accordingly, the Party Committees of Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 10 (old), now Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat, have promoted the spirit of solidarity, unity, and proactively followed the practical situation. The Party Committees clearly demonstrated their core role, mobilizing the combined strength of the entire political system and consensus among the people. Thanks to that, the implementation of the targets and tasks set out in the resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels achieved many important and comprehensive results in all fields. 12/12 targets on economic, cultural and social development were achieved and exceeded; 1/3 targets on Party building were achieved and exceeded...

Up to now, the economic structure of the ward has shifted in the right direction; the average growth rate of production value reached 13.6%/year, an increase of 3.6% compared to the resolution. Trade and services have developed strongly, especially tourism services. In the ward, there are 16 tourist areas, 8,978 individual business households, 1,833 enterprises that determine growth and make important contributions to the socio-economic development of the locality. Social security policies have been well implemented. National defense and security have been maintained. Social order and safety have been ensured. Party building and government building have received due attention, contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of State management and the quality of service to the people.

PV: What is the development orientation of the Ward Party Committee in the 2025 - 2030 term, comrade?

Comrade Dang Duc Hiep: We identify the 2025 - 2030 term as a key period to turn Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat into a comprehensively developed, modern and civilized ward. The Congress agreed on the goal: "Promoting the comprehensive leadership role of the Party Committee, building Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat to be rich, beautiful, civilized, and sustainably developed in association with digital transformation and preserving the landscape of Da Lat". The ward Party Committee focuses on 3 breakthroughs including: building synchronous and environmentally friendly urban infrastructure; developing high-quality tourism and services; strengthening administrative reform, digital transformation in management and serving the people.

Reporter: Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat has an important position in Lam Dong province. What will the ward do to promote its advantages, potentials and affirm its position in the future?

Comrade Dang Duc Hiep: Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat is the central ward of Lam Dong province. The ward has a large area and a large population. The ward plays a central role in administration, tourism and services, especially near cultural and landscape symbols of Da Lat such as Xuan Huong Lake, Bao Dai Palace, Cu Hill... Therefore, the Party Committee pays special attention to socio-economic development along with preserving landscapes and ecological environment. The locality will closely coordinate with functional sectors to plan reasonable urban spaces, encourage green tourism models, community tourism, cultural and historical tourism... The ward promotes propaganda work, raises community awareness in environmental protection and builds a civilized urban lifestyle.

PV: Along with socio-economic development, how are Party building and developing young cadres oriented in the new term, comrade?

Comrade Dang Duc Hiep: We identify Party building as a key task. In particular, the ward attaches special importance to rejuvenating the cadre team; improving the quality of Party members; innovating leadership methods; strengthening exemplary behavior and discipline in the Party. Creating conditions for young cadres to train and mature from the grassroots will be a priority throughout, in order to create a solid foundation for succession for the next generations.
