An educational project applying blockchain and AI technology wins the Web3 Ideathon award.

This next-generation educational platform harmoniously combines Web3 technology and AI to address the challenges of personalized learning, automated content creation, and highly interactive chatbots.

Educhain – a personal learning platform applying blockchain and AI technology – developed by a group of young people, has just won first prize in the Web3 Ideathon, a national competition on blockchain and AI technology ideas recently held in Ho Chi Minh City.

Stemming from the reality that learners today have to use many different platforms, causing inconvenience and expense, the project team aimed to address the need for a platform capable of tracking, evaluating progress, and correcting knowledge gaps for users.

Accordingly, Educhain provides a smart learning toolkit built with advanced AI, including: document processing and personalized guidance tools to build individual knowledge graphs; chatbots; tools to track and fill user knowledge gaps using knowledge profiles; and the generation of learning materials (quizzes, learning paths, videos ) through a combination of reinforcement learning algorithms and LLM (large language model).

The runner-up position went to the Nong Tri project - an AI chatbot agricultural assistant for Vietnamese farmers. This is an intelligent chatbot that helps farmers access agricultural information easily, accurately, and quickly. The application provides comprehensive solutions ranging from cultivation techniques, weather forecasts, market prices to farming guidebooks.

PennyPu, a personal finance virtual assistant for young people, came in third place. This virtual assistant helps young people manage their money intelligently and develop healthy financial habits.

Over 450 high-quality startup projects

The first Web3 Ideathon competition attracted 1,012 applications with 452 high-quality startup projects submitted to the qualifying round, drawing students from top universities across Vietnam (North, Central, and South).

The participating projects span various fields such as healthcare, education , agriculture, finance and banking, and energy. The total prize money amounts to 1.6 billion VND.
