According to experts' forecasts, by the end of the first quarter of 2025, the price of green coffee beans in the Central Highlands and the southern provinces will decrease, fluctuating around 100,000 VND/kg. The main reason is that the supply of coffee from Vietnam will gradually increase from now until early next year and coffee exports from Vietnam will pick up again. Farmers selling more coffee and stable supply will put downward pressure on domestic prices. However, coffee prices may still remain higher than in previous years because output is forecast to still decrease compared to the 2023/24 crop year, but the price decrease is reasonable in the context of more abundant supply. However, in just the third week of the first month of 2025, coffee prices have reached nearly 120,000 VND/kg, showing many positive signs for the development prospects of the domestic coffee market.
