Man City had a great start to the season, crushing hosts Wolves 4-0 in the first round of the 2025-2026 Premier League. It was a match in which coach Pep Guardiola's team showed their full strength.
Goal machine Erling Haaland continued to score twice. Meanwhile, new recruits like Tijjani Reijnders and Cherki had a shining debut, quickly integrating into the general playing style.
The Manchester team has scored 21 goals in just the last 5 matches. Man City's biggest advantage in the upcoming match is playing at the "fortress" Etihad. Last season, Pep Guardiola's team achieved a winning rate of up to 68.4% in Premier League matches at home (winning 13/19 matches).

Coach Pep Guardiola is expected to make an adjustment in defense, when he puts Matheus Nunes on the field from the start in the right-back position to replace Rico Lewis.
Nunes' presence with better strength and tackling ability is believed to be to counter Tottenham's physical and aggressive style of play.
In midfield, the trio of Tijjani Reijnders, Bernardo Silva and Nico Gonzalez are almost certain to continue to be trusted after their excellent performance against Wolves.
With superior strength, high form and home field advantage, Man City is expected to have no difficulty dominating the game and winning a big victory against Tottenham.
