In Buddhism, Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara symbolizes love, compassion, and mercy. He always observes and listens to the cries for help in the world, bringing compassion, kindness, and altruism to save sentient beings.

To commemorate and honor the merits of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, every year, Buddhists around the world solemnly celebrate Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara's birthday according to the lunar calendar (on his birthday February 19, his enlightenment June 19, and his renunciation September 19).

The Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara's birthday celebration will be held at Ba Temple.

On the 19th and 20th of the second lunar month this year, the birth anniversary of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara will be held at the spiritual complex of Ba Den Mountain ( Tay Ninh ). Accordingly, the birthday anniversary of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara will be held from 1:30 p.m. on the 19th of the second lunar month at Ba Pagoda, chaired by Venerable Thich Niem Thoi - Head of the Executive Committee of Tay Ninh Provincial Buddhism, Abbot of Ba Pagoda. The incense offering procession from Ba Pagoda to the Great Buddha Statue of Tay Bo Da Son and the Dharma talk program with the theme "Peaceful mind, peace everywhere" chaired by Zen Master Thich Minh Niem will take place in the afternoon of the same day at the top of Ba Mountain.

After the Dharma talk, the flower lantern night celebrating the birth of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara will be solemnly held at the square of the Great Buddha Statue of Tay Bo Da Son on the evenings of February 19-20 of the lunar calendar, with the participation of hundreds of Buddhists and tourists. The magical flickering candlelight on the top of Ba Den Mountain during the flower lantern night will light up compassion and joy, illuminating and bringing people back to their kind nature, receiving positive energy and balancing body, mind and spirit.

Ba Den Mountain - where the procession, Dharma talks and floating lanterns take place

Considered a sacred land, Ba Den Mountain is a pilgrimage site that welcomes millions of visitors each year to worship, seek peace and awakening in the soul. Located halfway up the mountain, Ba Pagoda is more than 300 years old and is associated with the legend of the sacred Linh Son Thanh Mau Bo Tat. On the top of the mountain is a Buddhist cultural space, with a statue of Buddha Tay Bo Da Son, an exhibition area displaying hundreds of versions simulating classic Buddhist artworks, and 3D mapping technology about the formation of the universe under the Buddhist lens.

- 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. on the 19th day of the 2nd lunar month: Incense offering procession from Ba Pagoda to the Great Buddha Statue of Tay Bo Da Son

- From 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the 19th day of the 2nd lunar month: Zen Master Thich Minh Niem's ​​Dharma talk takes place in a lecture hall with a capacity of 300 people, and there is a large screen livestreaming the program for Buddhists and visitors to attend in the central area of ​​the Great Buddha Statue Square of Tay Bo Da Son.

- From 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm on the 19th - 20th of the second lunar month: The lantern night will be held at the square of the Great Buddha Statue of Tay Bo Da Son. Buddhists and tourists are welcome to arrange their time to fully explore the experiences at the sacred peak of Ba Mountain.
