Although the peak season at the end of the year promises to bring a sharp increase in the number of visitors, the entire tourism industry still needs many solutions, focusing on exploiting key markets to reach the milestone of 25 million international visitors this year.
Since the beginning of the year, with 3.9 million Chinese visitors, Vietnam has surpassed Thailand to become the leading destination in the region attracting Chinese tourists. In the European tourist market, the visa exemption policy applied to 24 countries is opening up opportunities for major tourist centers to exploit distant, high-spending markets.
According to Ms. Nguyen Hong Tham - Director of Da Nang City Tourism Promotion Center, Da Nang is implementing online tourism passports in 3 areas: culinary tourism passport, green tourism passport and heritage tourism passport - positioning that it will create core products and maintain development suitable for each customer market.
To create momentum for the final stage, according to experts, it is necessary to launch national promotional campaigns, similar to the "Vietnam Calling" campaign on social networks in June with millions of interactions, inspiring young people around the world to choose Vietnam as a destination.
Ms. Nguyen Hoa Mai - Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism said: "We are making efforts to promote Vietnamese tourism globally in key markets, implementing many innovative solutions to promote tourism in the coming time."
The World Travel Awards 2025 continues to honor Vietnam as "Asia's Leading Destination" and "Asia's Leading Heritage Destination". From now until the end of the year, the tourism industry will carry out promotional programs in key markets such as China, Japan and Europe to attract visitors during the peak season.
