Talking to Tri Thuc - Znews, Nguyen Wonbi (living in Nha Trang) said he met a female Russian tourist at around 10am on November 24, while helping to unload necessities at the gathering point of the volunteer group, on the sidewalk of Nguyen Binh Khiem Street, Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa .
"At that time, I saw a foreign girl pulling a red suitcase approaching. At first, I thought she was a tourist asking for directions, so I went to see what she wanted. She opened her phone, showed the Russian-Vietnamese translation software, and said, 'Can I give this to the flood victims?'" Wonbi recalled.
This gathering point is not a large-scale relief warehouse, but a place where volunteer groups spontaneously collect charity items to send to people in flooded areas.

“The suitcase was quite new. When we opened it, we saw clothes, blankets, towels… I asked the person in charge to check and classify it before sending it to the people,” Wonbi said, adding that he was quite busy with loading and unloading at that time so he didn’t have time to ask for the name or more information about the guest. “I only had time to ask for a photo. After handing over the suitcase, he left immediately.”
According to him, these days in Nha Trang, it is not rare to see Russians or foreigners participating in supporting Nha Trang people after the flood.
“There are many foreign friends like this in Nha Trang now. Some of them even use SUPs to support people in flooded areas. Some people living in Nha Trang also join hands to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.”
For those who directly received it, the female tourist's suitcase was not just a few sets of clothes or a blanket sent to the people, but also a manifestation of sharing from a visitor from far away who chose to stay and accompany the local community during difficult times.

Since November 16, Khanh Hoa, including Nha Trang City, has been hit by a prolonged period of heavy rain, causing widespread flooding. By November 20-21, many areas in Tay Nha Trang Ward, Dien Khanh, Ninh Hoa... recorded rapid water level rises, with some areas flooded up to 2-2.5 meters, thousands of houses, schools, streets and urban areas submerged in water.
By November 24, the flood had receded in the central area of Nha Trang, the weather had become brighter, but mud, trash and damaged furniture were still piled up on many roads, beaches and residential areas. Many tourists brought gloves and trash bags to the beach, joined the locals in collecting trash and dragging large piles of wood to quickly restore the landscape.
As the city is gradually cleaning up and recovering from the floods, local authorities recommend that residents and tourists limit travel to low-lying areas, riverside areas or places that have been deeply flooded, and comply with signs and barriers at the scene.
Tourists planning to visit Nha Trang at this time should closely monitor weather reports, contact hotels or travel agencies in advance to update road conditions, areas being cleaned, and proactively adjust their schedules if new heavy rains occur.
