In Thua Thien Hue province, the total number of tourists visiting the area during the holiday period increased sharply, estimated at 351,000.
Of the total number of visitors to Hue during this period, an estimated 71,500 were international tourists. Tourism revenue is estimated at 730 billion VND. The number of overnight stays is estimated at 106,000, of which 27,125 were international tourists. The average occupancy rate of hotel rooms reached approximately 97%.
The Hue Imperial Citadel also offers free nighttime tours in three areas: Thieu Phuong Garden, Co Ha Garden, and Phu Noi Palace.
To serve tourists and locals during the holiday, the locality also organized a number of cultural and culinary activities for the local community and visitors: an exhibition "Tourism Space, Cultural Heritage, Scenic Spots and Traditional Handicrafts of Vietnam", the Hue - Culinary Capital festival at Thuong Bac Park, and the Rural Market Festival at Thanh Toan tiled bridge.
According to a report from the Quang Binh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, during the 5-day holiday (from April 30th to May 4th, 2025), the number of tourists visiting tourist attractions and entertainment venues in the province is estimated at 369,000, an increase of 16% compared to the same period in 2024. Of these, approximately 8,500 were international tourists, an increase of 6.25% compared to the same period in 2024.
During this year's holiday, international visitors to Quang Binh mainly came from countries such as the UK, the US, France, South Korea, Japan, and Germany. Domestic visitors came from provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, and Da Nang. Total tourism revenue during the holiday is estimated at 428 billion VND, an increase of 17% compared to the Hung Kings Commemoration Day and the April 30th - May 1st holidays in 2024.

Popular ecotourism and natural attractions include: Phong Nha Cave, Thien Duong Cave, Nuoc Mooc Stream, Chay River - Dark Cave, Ozo Park, Khe Nuoc Lanh, Hava Valley, and experiential tourism products exploring nature in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, Dong Chau - Khe Nuoc Trong Nature Reserve, etc.
In Dong Hoi city, there are pedestrian streets and night markets in Bao Ninh 1 urban area (Regal Legend), Bao Ninh beach, Nhat Le - Quang Phu beach, Quang Binh Museum, Ho Chi Minh Square, Bao Ninh beach square; the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap and the memorial area of General Vo Nguyen Giap attract a large number of tourists and locals.
During the 5-day holiday period, Kien Giang province is estimated to have welcomed 323,754 tourists, an increase of 18.8% compared to the same period in 2024. Of these, international tourists accounted for 28,556 (an increase of 19.4%) and domestic tourists for 295,198 (an increase of 18.7%). The number of visitors to tourist areas and attractions reached 208,095, and the number of overnight stays reached 115,659 – an increase of 22.7% compared to the same period. The average room occupancy rate reached 67.07%, an increase of 21.4%. Notably, total tourism revenue reached VND 986.4 billion, a strong increase of 67.2% compared to the same period.
Phu Quoc City, a key tourist destination in the province, is estimated to have welcomed 150,548 visitors, a 19.5% increase compared to the same period last year. Of these, 26,958 were international visitors, and 56,540 were overnight guests – increases of 20.2% and 20.7% respectively. These figures demonstrate that Phu Quoc continues to maintain its position as one of the most attractive destinations in the Southern region during holidays.
Prior to the long holiday period, the Kien Giang Department of Tourism directed localities and tourism service businesses to make thorough preparations in terms of infrastructure, human resources, and service products. Diverse recreational activities and tourism events were organized to attract domestic and international tourists.
