South Central Vietnam tourism: Every province has a bumper crop on the occasion of April 30th

During the April 30 and May 1 holidays this year, the tourism industry in the South Central provinces all had high visitor and revenue indicators compared to the same holiday period last year.

According to reports from the South Central Coast provinces, during the April 30 and May 1 holidays this year, every locality "received a bumper crop" from tourism .

Binh Dinh tourism earns 350 billion VND in 5-day holiday

On May 4, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Dinh province said through a quick report on the April 30 and May 1 holidays, this year the number of visitors to the province grew better than the same period last year.

The total number of tourists to Binh Dinh this time is estimated at 318,800, up 15% over the same period. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at 350 billion VND, up 15%.

The total number of guests staying at tourist accommodation establishments reached 107,840.

According to reports from tourist accommodation establishments, room occupancy rates at 4-5 star hotels were quite high during the two peak days of April 30 and May 1, with many units reaching 100% room occupancy during this time.

1-3 star and standard hotels in Quy Nhon City have an average room occupancy rate of about 60%.

Tourist attractions that are popular with tourists include Quy Nhon, Cat Tien, Nhon Ly beaches... and some new destinations: Ta Ma stream (Vinh Thanh), An Toan - An Lao. Some popular destinations include Ky Co, Ham Ho Rosa Alba, Eo Gio, Nhon Ly, Trung Luong, Cua Bien tourist area...

Phu Yen : Number of tourists increased by 55%

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Yen province also reported that from April 30 to May 4, the province is estimated to welcome 85,000 visitors and vacationers, up 55% over the same period last year (including 1,150 international visitors). The number of overnight guests is estimated at 52,700, up 42% over the same period.

Average room occupancy rate is over 62%, some large-scale hotels and hotels and homestays near the beach achieved 100% room occupancy from April 30 to May 2.

Total revenue from tourism is estimated at 185 billion VND, an increase of 41% over the same period (in 2024, total revenue from tourists is 131 billion VND), of which accommodation revenue is estimated at 30.6 billion VND.

Mr. Nguyen Le Vu - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Yen province - said that due to the hot weather, many tourists choose island and waterfall tourism products.

In addition, this year, the number of visitors to Phu Yen is increasing due to the effect of the 2025 Asian Women's Beach Volleyball Championship taking place from April 25 to 28. In addition, during the holiday, local hotels also organize activities to attract tourists.

Ninh Thuan: Increasing the number of accommodation rooms but not enough to meet demand

In Ninh Thuan, according to a report on May 4 by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the number of tourists visiting and relaxing in the province during the April 30 holiday this year increased by 43.3% compared to the same period last year. Social income from tourism activities is estimated at 320 billion VND.

According to preliminary statistics from tourism businesses, room occupancy during the holidays in the coastal areas of Binh Son - Ninh Chu, Vinh Hy, Ca Na reached 90 - 100%, while other accommodation establishments had room occupancy of 70 - 85%.

During the 5-day holiday, the total number of tourists visiting and relaxing in Ninh Thuan is estimated at 215,000, up 43.3% over the same period; guests staying and relaxing are estimated at 61,000, visitors are estimated at 154,000; international visitors are estimated at 4,000, up 33.3% over the same period.

"According to reports from accommodation establishments, this year travel agencies and tourists have booked rooms one month in advance, with the number of bedrooms being about 4,952. Although the number of rooms has increased compared to last year, it is still not enough for tourists, and some rooms have to be shared with other guests," the report stated.

The reason for the increase in the number of tourists to Ninh Thuan is the 5-day holiday, the province successfully organized the Ninh Thuan Culture, Sports, Tourism and Cuisine Week 2025 with the theme "Ninh Thuan - Land of Convergence of Different Values". In addition, localities and tourist destinations organized many unique, new and attractive cultural and tourism activities for tourists.

Mang Den welcomes more than 55,000 visitors

Mr. Pham Van Thang - Vice Chairman of Kon Plong District People's Committee (Kon Tum) - said that during the 5-day holiday, Mang Den town is expected to welcome 55,000 visitors and stayers.

According to Mr. Thang, favorable, cool and sunny weather along with unique cultural and culinary activities have contributed to attracting a large number of tourists to Mang Den during this year's holiday.
