The total number of visitors to Ho Chi Minh City from May 31 to June 9 was 1,301 million, including 121,000 international visitors and 1.18 million domestic visitors. Tourism and service revenue reached 4,250 billion VND. A survey from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism showed that the average room occupancy rate at accommodation establishments in District 1 increased by 20% compared to normal. The number of visitors to waterway businesses ( food , transportation, etc.) increased by an average of 20% compared to the number of daily visitors. At the same time, waterway service businesses recorded that after the first River Festival in 2023, the number of waterway passengers increased by an average of 25 - 40%. Reports from travel businesses showed that the number of visitors during the festival increased by 40% - 50% compared to normal. Many tourist attractions also reported a significant increase in visitors, of which the Ho Chi Minh Museum increased by 103%, the Cu Chi Tunnels increased by 423%, the War Remnants Museum increased by 21%... In addition, the festival has created a strong response wave in newspapers, social networks and media channels. According to statistics, the event received 4,435 domestic and international news and articles, of which 3,525 news and articles from 100 press agencies nationwide and 910 news and articles from foreign press agencies. The event also received visual media support through LED and LCD screens nationwide with more than 13,000 screens/750 million views within 15 days (average 50 million views/day). At the same time, it attracted more than 43 million likes and views on social networks.
