Putting into operation and exploitation of unit II of Liem Chinh bridge

Right on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the investment project to build Unit II of Liem Chinh Bridge and synchronous technical infrastructure works was inaugurated and put into operation. Put into operation earlier than planned, the project not only brings joy to people in the area by ensuring convenient and easy travel, but also affirms the determination of the investor - Phu Ly city and the construction contractor to overcome difficulties, focus highly on construction, save time and construction costs, contribute to promoting the disbursement of public investment capital, and effectively use state budget capital.

Liem Chinh Bridge, Unit II, and synchronous technical infrastructure works are located 12m away from Unit I (completed construction). The bridge is designed in a modern style, with a 5-span diagram. The clearance height of the underpass under the bridge is 4.5m (remaining the same as the current status of phase 1). Notably, in the lower structure, there are V-shaped pillars T3 and T4 for aesthetics. The total length of the road at both ends of the bridge is 520.23m. The underpass is designed as a U-shaped open culvert, 3m wide. The traffic safety system is arranged with painted lines and signs in compliance with QCVN41-2019 of the Ministry of Transport on road signs...

Unit II of Liem Chinh bridge completed and put into use to ensure convenient traffic.

During the construction process, the construction unit focused on human and material resources to ensure the construction progress in each phase. At the peak stage, there were nearly 100 workers on the construction site, organized into 2 groups. Mr. Nguyen Van Minh, Project Construction Commander, said: The advantage of the project is that the site was available early to meet the requirements, the progress combined with modern construction techniques, so the project was completed 5 months ahead of schedule.

Being able to walk on the new bridge, witnessing the bridge at night sparkling with lights, the people of Phu Ly city clearly expressed their joy because besides convenient transportation, the bridge also contributes to beautifying the city to become more beautiful and modern. Ms. Bui Thi Mai (Chau Cau ward) said: The bridge is built modernly, beautifully decorated, our people are very excited. Along with unit I, unit II opens up spacious, airy roads, connecting convenient traffic on both sides of the Chau Giang river, connecting modern urban areas of Phu Ly city.

The bridge has a landscape decoration arranged next to the bridge railing. The structure is designed with a galvanized steel frame, decorative paint and LED lighting system. The lighting part builds a lighting system with a total length of about 1600m. The bridge lighting is a 120W LED lamp using LED chips from Cree-USA, Bridgelux or equivalent (the design and size of the lamp can be changed to a type with similar specifications in the design). All lamp posts and lighting control cabinets are safely grounded.

Mr. Nguyen Van Minh added: The lighting and landscape of the bridge are designed in a modern way. In particular, the landscape lighting project uses a reflective LED system for the box girder system, the bridge piers and the bridge symbol, creating a beautiful landscape. Unit II of Liem Chinh Bridge is the third bridge in the country to be installed with a landscape lighting system.

Mr. Hoang Cao Liem, Vice Chairman of Phu Ly City People's Committee said: Investing in the construction of Unit II of Liem Chinh Bridge and synchronous technical infrastructure works aims to gradually complete urban infrastructure in a synchronous and modern direction according to approved urban planning and transportation planning, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 20th Ha Nam Provincial Party Congress and the 23rd Phu Ly City Party Congress; in which the breakthrough task of building a synchronous socio-economic infrastructure system is determined, prioritizing traffic infrastructure connecting functional subdivisions and high-quality commercial and service infrastructure, reducing traffic pressure on routes in the area, while promoting local socio-economic development.
