Leaders of Kien Giang province cut the ribbon to inaugurate a road lined with apricot blossoms in the shape of a map of Vietnam, themed "The Quintessence of Vietnamese Tet," serving tourists and locals who come to celebrate the Lunar New Year and take photos.
On the morning of February 4th, in the Northwest urban area (Rach Gia City, Kien Giang province), a large number of tourists and locals came to take photos along the apricot and peach blossom road shaped like the map of Vietnam.
With the theme "The Quintessence of Vietnamese Tet," the apricot blossom street is designed in a very eye-catching and elaborate way with tens of thousands of apricot and peach blossom branches and miniature scenes recreating the atmosphere of Tet in the three regions of Vietnam, including: a calligrapher's area, a thatched house area selling traditional cakes, straw rolls, conical hats, and lanterns, interspersed with many unique food spaces reflecting the rich cultural life of the Vietnamese people.
Ms. Nguyen Xuan Kieu, a resident of Rach Gia City, said that the apricot blossom street for the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon 2024 is very unique and beautiful. The miniature landscapes and decorative areas clearly reflect the national identity and express the unity of the people and the military from North to South.
"The path lined with apricot blossoms shaped like the map of Vietnam looks very prosperous and symbolizes unity. Especially after the COVID-19 pandemic, the Vietnamese people are returning to a new life and welcoming a new spring that is joyful and warm," Ms. Kieu happily said.
Young people wearing new clothes came to take souvenir photos along the apricot blossom-lined road.
Ms. Pham Thi Nhu Phuong, General Director of CIC Group, informed that the apricot blossom-lined road shaped like a map of Vietnam, themed "The Quintessence of Vietnamese Tet," was designed and conceived by the company to fully express the Tet spirit of the Vietnamese people. The apricot blossom-lined road covers an area of 2,800 square meters and is 155 meters long (with an investment cost of approximately 3 billion VND). This will be a popular check-in and spring outing spot attracting people during the Tet holiday.
"Beyond simply recreating the atmosphere of the Vietnamese Tet holiday, we also aim to introduce the beauty of Vietnamese national identity and affirm the sacred territorial sovereignty of our Fatherland to tourists," Ms. Phuong emphasized.
Spanning an area of 2,800 square meters and measuring 155 meters in length, the apricot blossom-lined pathway shaped like a map of Vietnam in the Northwest urban area (Rach Gia City, Kien Giang Province) promises to be a beautiful and meaningful check-in spot for tourists.
