One of the important highlights of this year’s Book and Reading Culture Day is the inauguration of Binh Tan Book Street - a typical project of the city’s publishing and cultural sector, contributing to the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification. This book street officially came into operation, becoming a new cultural institution, effectively serving the people of Binh Tan district and neighboring areas in the West of the city.

Binh Tan Book Street has an area of nearly 2,000 m², located on D5 Street, Hoa Lam High-Tech Medical Zone, Binh Tri Dong B Ward. The book street space includes 12 book stalls, 2 book cafe stalls, reading area, event stage, welcome gate... fully meeting the needs of cultural activities, academic exchange, and entertainment for local people.

This project is also a step to complete the system of book streets and reading spaces in Ho Chi Minh City, including: Nguyen Van Binh Book Street (District 1), Thu Duc City Book Street, Cu Chi Book Space, Nguyen Dong Chi Book Street (District 7), now with the addition of Binh Tan Book Street, creating a network to spread reading culture in the East - West - South - North directions of Ho Chi Minh City.
