Railway organizes early "Tet Sum Vay" for nearly 300 stations

The railway organized an early "Tet Sum Vay" at nearly 300 stations, spending billions of dong to take care of workers during Tet.

Vietnam Railways Trade Union said that professional levels and trade unions have coordinated to organize an early "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" for workers at 282 stations and 12 locations on the occasion of Tet At Ty 2025.

Accordingly, 741 million VND was supported from the Vietnam Railway Corporation's Welfare Fund to organize Tet Sum Vay at 282 stations and 12 locations. The Vietnam Railway Trade Union supported 160 million VND for 8 units to organize the "Tet Sum Vay" program.

At the same time, many activities were implemented to care for and support workers in difficult circumstances during the Lunar New Year from the Welfare Fund, the Vietnam Railways Social Charity Fund and trade union funds. Specifically, visiting and giving gifts to 1,262 workers in difficult circumstances at 52 units with a total amount of over 1 billion VND. Providing Tet allowances to 240 workers at 19 units, as of January 6, 2025, with a total amount of 302.5 million VND.

Presented gifts to 770 groups working on New Year's Eve, totaling VND269.6 million; presented Tet gift baskets to 174 groups working on New Year's Eve at the Tet Sum Vay Program at 20 locations and regions. Visited, encouraged, and wished a Happy New Year to about 5,700 workers directly working on train operations on New Year's Eve, totaling VND570 million.

Support 77 train tickets for Tet for 37 workers of 10 units to return home for Tet, total amount of over 350 million VND. In addition, request the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to support 32 train tickets for Tet for 14 workers, total amount of nearly 150 million VND.

Regarding policy work, the organization visited local policy families at 20 locations out of 40 policy families, with a total amount of over 40 million VND.

In addition, units use many sources with tens of billions of VND to support and take care of workers with the spirit: No worker will be left without Tet.
