FIFA announces record numbers for Club World Cup, reveals lucky fans

FIFA has announced that the Club World Cup 2025™ has reached a record of more than 1 million viewers across its group stage matches so far. The milestone was reached when Juventus beat Wydad 4-1 in Philadelphia on 23 June.

According to FIFA, the one millionth fan at the tournament has been identified as Rachida Elomari, a young girl from Virginia, USA, who is a fan of the Wydad Club (Morocco).

This was the first time this little girl had ever watched a soccer match live at a stadium. Luckily, when she entered the gate, she was identified as the millionth fan when she watched Juventus beat her favorite team, Wydad, 4-1 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on June 23.

FIFA also said that after the milestone of 1 million fans watching the matches in the Club World Cup group stage was determined. On the same day, the number of viewers at the tournament continued to increase when Real Madrid beat Pachuca (Mexico) with a score of 3-1 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte with 70,248 fans watching.

This is the second highest attendance at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ to date, after PSG's 4-0 win over Atletico Madrid on June 16, which drew a record 80,619 spectators at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.

Fans came to watch Real Madrid beat Pachuca (Mexico) with a score of 3-1 on June 23.

To date, after 31 matches in the group stage of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™, more than 1.1 million fans have attended the matches, an average of 36,000 people per match.

Matches featuring top European clubs such as PSG, Atletico Madrid (Group B), or host Inter Miami (Group A) all attract viewers of 50,000 or more per match.

Bayern Munich's 2-1 win over Argentina's Boca Juniors on June 21 at Hard Rock Stadium (Group C) also had 63,587 viewers. Flamengo (Brazil) defeated European powerhouse Chelsea FC 3-1 on June 21 at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia (Group D) also had 54,619 viewers...

Meanwhile, fans from Japan, although disappointed when their home team Urawa Red Diamonds was eliminated early after 2 losses (in Group E), but with about 10,000 fans following them to support, they left a beautiful image in the places they came to watch.

Images of colorful Japanese fans supporting their home team have been continuously praised by FIFA and published on social media accounts.
