Ford officially introduced the 2026 Explorer Tremor version, completely replacing the previous Timberline variant. This 7-seat SUV has been comprehensively upgraded in design, off-road capability and engine performance. The vehicle is also equipped with additional metal underbody protection, red painted front and rear tow hooks, extended fenders to increase body protection, and a specially tuned suspension system to improve stability and flexibility when driving on complex terrain.
In terms of appearance, the 2026 Explorer Tremor has a bold off-road style with increased ground clearance, 18-inch wheels, specialized Bridgestone Dueler tires, and a redesigned front bumper with prominent orange accents. In addition to the standard 300-horsepower 2.3L 4-cylinder EcoBoost engine, the 2026 Explorer Tremor has an optional 3.0L twin-turbo V6 engine, producing up to 400 horsepower and 563 Nm of torque, combined with a 10-speed automatic transmission and full-time 4-wheel drive. A Torsen rear differential is also equipped to increase traction when running on terrain.
The Tremor interior is finished with orange stitching, signature logos on the seats, a sporty steering wheel and a host of modern technologies such as a 13.2-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital clock, a B&O sound system, a 360-degree camera and BlueCruise 1.5 semi-autonomous driving assistance. The 2026 Explorer Tremor is a new option for customers who love the off-road SUV style combined with family versatility. Ford has not announced the official price, but the car is expected to be located between the ST-Line and ST versions, with the V6 option being the highlight that makes the difference.
