Nearly 1,500 police students wrap banh chung and organize a fair to celebrate Tet

Today (January 19), the Center for Training, Professional Development and Vocational Education No. 1, Mobile Police Command organized activities to celebrate the Spring of At Ty 2025, such as a propaganda painting contest, a banh chung wrapping contest and a display of five-fruit trays, a Spring fair, etc.

Lieutenant Colonel Bach Viet Ho, Deputy Director of the Center, shared: "This year's Spring Fair has a total of more than 10 booths, each booth corresponding to a company.

The New Year activities not only bring a warm and united atmosphere, but also help students and future police officers better understand the traditional cultural values of the nation, contributing to motivating them to continue to strive and train hard.

This year’s Spring Fair at the No. 1 Vocational Training and Education Center has more than 10 booths, each booth represents a company. Each company has 136-140 students.

Each company's Tet booth sells many products, from hometown specialties such as peanut candy, green bean cake... to snacks loved by young people such as fried dumplings, fried balls...

Besides the Tet booth, the banh chung wrapping contest is also an activity that receives enthusiastic response.

Each company will wrap 40 banh chung. From preparing ingredients to wrapping the cakes, the students will divide the work smoothly.

For many students, this was their first experience wrapping banh chung. At first, the movements such as folding leaves, measuring rice, and tying strings were awkward and clumsy, but after just a few tries, everyone gradually became proficient, creating square, beautiful cakes.

Student Le Ha Giang , Company C10, shared: “This is the first time I made banh chung by myself, I feel both nervous and excited. Although I am not very skillful, I am very happy to make these cakes with my teammates.”

About 400 banh chung of the companies after completion will be given to poor students and families in difficult circumstances in the stationed area.

In the series of activities to celebrate the Spring of At Ty 2025, there are also games such as duck catching, soccer... to help students have moments of relaxation, strengthen team spirit before entering the new year with new challenges.

Student Bui Trung Viet, Company C10, excitedly shared:
“Although we usually practice quite hard, these activities make everyone feel closer and warmer. The atmosphere is like home.”
