The Bac Giang Province Reading Culture Ambassador Contest is organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Departmentof Education and Training for students in the province.
This year, the school and district rounds begin on March 21. Candidates choose one of two topics; each topic requires answering two questions about works and characters that have inspired or strongly influenced their thinking, leading them to a positive lifestyle, becoming a useful person for society; building an action plan or writing initiatives and experiences to develop a reading culture for themselves and the community...
As of May 25, the Organizing Committee received nearly 145,000 entries from students of 314 schools in the province. Of these, primary schools had more than 74,000 entries; middle schools had 47,000 entries; high schools had nearly 24,000 entries; and colleges had 100 entries. Ngo Si Lien Primary School ( Bac Giang City) had the most entries with more than 3,800 entries.

According to Mr. Nguyen Dac Hong, Director of the Provincial Library, Head of the Contest Jury, this year the number of entries increased by 40,000 compared to last year. The entries are presented in the form of articles, video clips, drawings, etc. The Jury will score for about a week; summarize and award prizes at the end of June.
The Organizing Committee is expected to award 5 collective prizes to schools with the most entries or the most prize-winning contestants; 40 individual prizes including: 4 A prizes, 8 B prizes, 12 C prizes, 16 Encouragement prizes; 10 thematic prizes. High-quality entries will be selected to compete at the national level. According to the plan, the National Reading Culture Ambassador Award Ceremony will take place in October 2025.
The "Reading Culture Ambassador" contest is held annually to encourage and spread the passion for reading, contributing to promoting the movement and forming a reading culture in schools. Thereby, improving the ability to access information, arousing creativity, nurturing personality, and creating a healthy lifestyle for the young generation.
