The computer vulnerability (identified as CVE-2023-21716) has a near-perfect severity score of 9.8/10 and allows remote execution of malicious code on the target device. Hackers can deploy widespread virus infection campaigns, thereby remotely taking control of the device to collect, encrypt data, download and execute other viruses.

How to scan and patch CVE-2023-21716:
Step 1: Run the tool and click Check .
Step 2: The tool will notify you whether your computer has a vulnerability or not.
If so, patch the vulnerability in one of two ways:
Method 1: Update the patch via Windows Update , by accessing Windows Update in Settings , finding and updating the patch.
Method 2: Manually download the patch, by selecting OK in the Tool's scan result notification to open Microsoft 's official patch download page.
Step 3: Check the Microsoft Office version information you are using by opening any Office application, for example Word or Excel , go to Account >> select About Word . Here, the version information will be displayed as shown below:
Step 4: On the website opened in Step 2 , go to the Security Updates section. Here, select the patch corresponding to the Microsoft Office version available in step 3 and download it to your computer.
Step 5: Run the downloaded patch to fix the vulnerability.
