Nearly 400 athletes participate in International Yoga Day and Binh Phuoc Province Yoga Tournament 2025

BPO - On the morning of June 8, at the Binh Phuoc Province Sports Training and Competition Center, the Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City to organize the International Yoga Day and the Binh Phuoc Province Yoga Tournament 2025.

Attending the program were Ms. Priyanka Sahu, representative of the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City. On the side of Binh Phuoc province, there were Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee Tran Tuyet Minh, and representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors and organizations.

This year’s International Yoga Day and Binh Phuoc Province Yoga Tournament attracted nearly 400 athletes from 20 clubs. Delegates and residents were treated to unique and impressive Yoga performances by athletes and coaches.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vu Xuan Truong said that this is the fourth time Binh Phuoc has been honored to be chosen as one of the localities to organize International Yoga Day. Through the organization, the event has attracted a large number of people from all walks of life to attend and respond, becoming a big festival for people who love Yoga in Binh Phuoc province. At the same time, he requested that agencies, units and localities in the province continue to pay attention to connecting and creating conditions to implement more programs and events to promote foreign relations between the two countries associated with the movement of practicing and spreading Yoga. Thereby, consolidating and creating a solid premise to expand the cooperative and development relationship between localities in the country and India.

The organizers presented souvenir flags to Yoga Clubs participating in the event.

With the theme "Yoga for One Earth, One Health", International Yoga Day 2025 once again affirms Yoga as a comprehensive approach to health and happiness. The event is an opportunity for yogis in Yoga clubs, teams, and groups to exchange and learn from each other's experiences in building and developing Yoga. In addition, it contributes to promoting the friendly and cooperative relationship between Binh Phuoc province and the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and between the people of Vietnam and India in general.
