Nearly 5,700 billion VND in September 2 gifts have been funded by the State Treasury.

11/34 provinces and cities have completed the withdrawal of funds and given gifts to the people. The amount paid is more than 5,687 billion VND.

According to the quick summary data of the State Treasury ( Ministry of Finance ), as of 1:30 p.m. on August 31, 1,929/3,321 communes had received funds and organized the giving of National Day gifts to citizens, accounting for 58.08%.

The amount paid is more than 5,687 billion VND, accounting for 53.15% of the total estimated budget of more than 10,700 billion VND.

According to the report, 11/34 provinces and cities have completed the withdrawal of funds and given gifts to citizens with a payment rate of over 92% of communes and gift funds.

Of which, Bac Ninh , Hung Yen, Quang Tri have completed transferring funds to 100% of communes and donated 100% of the funds.

By noon on August 31, 11/34 provinces and cities had completed withdrawing funds and giving gifts to people.

Some other localities have basically completed their tasks such as: Da Nang (91/94 communes); Ha Tinh (65/69 communes); Lai Chau (37/38 communes); Lang Son (60/65 communes); Lao Cai (96/99 communes); Nghe An (127/130 communes); Quang Ninh (51/54 communes); Thanh Hoa (163/166 communes).

Previously, on August 29, the Ministry of Finance issued an official dispatch guiding the giving of gifts to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. Accordingly, the giving of gifts to citizens is carried out by household.

Citizens can receive gifts in one of two ways: transfer via social security account integrated on the electronic identification application (VNeID) or receive directly in cash at the payment point organized by the locality (in case the citizen has not integrated a social security account on VNeID).

The Commune People's Committee decides on gift-giving locations suitable to actual conditions, prioritizing convenient locations for citizens.

The time for giving and receiving gifts is from August 30 and completed before September 2. In case of objective reasons, citizens can receive gifts after this deadline, but no later than September 15.

The Ministry of Finance has completed the allocation of funds to localities to carry out the task of giving gifts to citizens.

On August 28, the Prime Minister issued Official Dispatch No. 149 on giving gifts to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. The gift amount is 100,000 VND/person.

Then, on August 29, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc signed Decision No. 1867 on targeted supplementation from the central budget to local budgets to give gifts to people.

The decision clearly states that the targeted supplement from the central budget expenditure estimate for 2025 has been decided by the National Assembly but has not yet been allocated in detail to 34 provinces and cities to implement the policy of giving gifts to people. The total budget is more than 10,700 billion VND.

Latest information on how to give 100,000 VND gifts to people on the occasion of September 2nd . At noon on August 30th, the Ministry of Finance said that it had transferred full funds to localities to give 100,000 VND gifts to citizens according to regulations.
