Nearly 500 people participated in the Voluntary Blood Donation Day

On August 17, the Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation (VBD) coordinated with the Provincial Red Cross Society, the Provincial Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center and the People's Committees of 7 communes and wards: Ninh Hoa, Hoa Thang, Dong Ninh Hoa, Tan Dinh, Nam Ninh Hoa, Bac Ninh Hoa, Hoa Tri to organize the 2025 Voluntary Blood Donation Festival.

The Organizing Committee presented gifts to blood donors during the festival.

With the theme “Blood Drops - Treasure of Humanity”, the festival attracted nearly 500 people from 7 localities to donate blood. The amount of donated blood collected was nearly 400 units. At the program, the Organizing Committee presented 20 gifts to the first HMTN participants in this period.

It is known that this is the 4th blood donation campaign organized in August 2025, with 1,200 units of donated blood collected. It is expected that from now until the end of August, the whole province will organize 4 more blood donation campaigns.

* On the same day, leaders and employees of Toyota Nha Trang Joint Stock Company participated in the blood donation campaign at the centralized blood donation point of the Provincial Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center (16 Hong Bang, Nha Trang Ward) with 50 units of donated blood collected.

Leaders of the Hematology - Blood Transfusion Center presented a plaque of gratitude to Toyota Nha Trang Joint Stock Company.

Currently, the blood reserve situation at medical facilities in the province is at an alarming level. The amount of blood received at blood donation points has decreased sharply compared to previous months, while the demand for blood in hospitals has increased. The blood groups in greatest shortage are blood group O and blood group Rh-.
