On November 26, in Hanoi , the Vietnam - Romania Friendship Association (Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations) held a friendship meeting to celebrate the 105th anniversary of Romania's National Day (December 1, 1918 - December 1, 2023). Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a congratulatory flower basket.
Attending the event were President of the Vietnam - Romania Friendship Association Ho Quang Loi; Romanian Ambassador to Vietnam Cristina Romila and members of the Vietnam - Romania Friendship Association.
Speaking at the meeting, President of the Vietnam - Romania Friendship Association Ho Quang Loi emphasized that in recent years, the Romanian people have achieved important achievements in national construction and development despite many difficulties and challenges due to geopolitical fluctuations.
Mr. Ho Quang Loi said that Romania is one of the earliest countries to establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam, since 1950. Continuing the fine tradition built and tested through historical periods, in recent years, the comprehensive friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Romania has been expanded and deepened in the fields of politics, diplomacy, trade, agriculture, industry, labor, tourism, education and training, etc.
It is encouraging that the friendly and cooperative relations between localities of the two countries are increasingly strengthened; some provinces and cities of the two countries have established twin relationships; people-to-people exchange activities are increasingly diverse, demonstrating the new vitality of the close friendship between Vietnam and Romania...
According to Mr. Ho Quang Loi, the Vietnam - Romania Friendship Association was established in 1991 and is an active member of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations. Through many meaningful activities such as celebrating major holidays of Vietnam and Romania, supporting labor exchanges, acting as a bridge to promote economy, trade, education, culture and tourism, the Association has made positive contributions to promoting the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two countries. Mr. Ho Quang Loi expressed his belief that the comprehensive friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Romania will continue to develop, commensurate with the fine tradition of friendship, with the potential and strengths of the two countries.
At the meeting, Romanian Ambassador to Vietnam Cristina Romila emphasized that Romania and Vietnam have a long-standing traditional friendship. This relationship has been continuously nurtured by generations of leaders and people of the two countries.
Ambassador Cristina Romila said that Romania and Vietnam have great opportunities and potential for cooperation in many fields, especially in the economy. On this occasion, Ambassador Cristina Romila thanked the Government, ministries, sectors and people of Vietnam, including the Vietnam - Romania Friendship Association, for their attention, support and favorable conditions for her to successfully complete her duties during her term./.
