Domestic silver price
At 5:30 a.m. on June 10, Phu Quy Gold and Gemstone Group ( Hanoi ) listed Phu Quy silver price at 1,366,000 VND/tael (buy) and 1,408,000 VND/tael (sell), an increase of 23,000 VND/tael for buying and 24,000 VND/tael for selling compared to yesterday morning's trading session.
Also in Hanoi, according to a survey at other trading locations, silver prices are currently listed at VND1,129,000/tael (buy) and VND1,159,000/tael (sell), an increase of VND13,000/tael for both buying and selling compared to yesterday morning's trading session.
Similarly, in Ho Chi Minh City, silver prices also increased, currently at VND1,131,000/tael (buy) and VND1,165,000/tael (sell), an increase of VND13,000/tael for both buying and selling compared to yesterday morning's trading session.
World silver price
In the world market, according to giabac.net, at 06:12:51 on the morning of June 10, the spot silver price was trading around 36,799 USD/ounce, up 0.758 USD/ounce compared to yesterday morning's trading session.
Previously, the silver price listed on Goldprice.org was at 35.97 USD/ounce; an increase of 0.05 USD compared to early this morning.
The world silver price is currently at 957,000 VND/ounce (buy) and 962,000 VND/ounce (sell), an increase of 18,000 VND/ounce for both buying and selling compared to yesterday morning's trading session.
Silver prices continue to attract attention as they break above $35 an ounce, indicating strong investment demand for silver, especially as the market records its fifth consecutive year of lower production than consumption.
"Silver traditionally lags gold in rallies, but then accelerates strongly and outperforms it as speculative money starts pouring into the precious metal," said David Erfle, precious metals and mining stock analyst.
It is worth noting, he added, that silver prices are still well below their historic peak of $50 an ounce, set in 1980 and again in 2011.
