Cam My district develops industrial livestock farming

According to the People's Committee of Cam My district, the total livestock herd in the district reached 191,500 heads, the total poultry herd reached more than 489,300 heads. Of which, pigs and chickens are still the two main livestock of the district.

The district's livestock industry has developed steadily, accounting for a large proportion, reaching more than 58.4% of the total value of the agricultural sector. The livestock industry has shifted towards industrial, large-scale. The whole district currently has more than 3,000 livestock establishments, including 101 farms.

Regarding farm livestock, 95/101 farms ensure the conditions of construction location; have environmental protection measures; have barns and livestock equipment suitable for livestock. 100% of household livestock facilities have barns separate from human residences; 100% of facilities periodically clean, disinfect, and sterilize barns and livestock equipment; have appropriate measures to clean and prevent epidemics, collect and treat livestock manure and wastewater.
