In Colombia, the world’s leading producer of washed Arabica coffee, October production fell 10% year-on-year to 1.2 million bags. However, for the first 10 months of the year, production increased 7% to 11.2 million bags, thanks to favorable weather and an effective replanting program. Exports for the first 10 months reached 10.8 million bags, up 10% year-on-year, helping Colombia maintain its position as the world’s third-largest coffee supplier, behind Brazil and Vietnam.
