Domestic coffee prices today

Domestic coffee prices today, May 26, 2025 in the Central Highlands region remained unchanged compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 122,000 - 122,500 VND/kg.

Accordingly, traders in Dak Nong province are purchasing coffee at the highest price of 122,500 VND/kg. No change compared to yesterday.

Similarly, coffee prices in Dak Lak province are at VND122,500/kg, unchanged from yesterday.

Coffee prices in Gia Lai province remained unchanged and were traded at VND122,500/kg.

In Lam Dong province, coffee prices remained unchanged at VND122,000/kg.

According to a survey, coffee prices in the Central Highlands region are at their lowest level in the past 6 weeks. Compared to last week, prices have dropped sharply from 2,500 to 2,700 VND/kg, the fourth consecutive week of decline in the domestic coffee market.

Specifically, Dak Nong was the locality that recorded the sharpest price decrease last week, down by 2,700 VND/kg. Coffee prices in Gia Lai and Dak Lak provinces decreased by 2,500 VND/kg compared to last week. Meanwhile, in Lam Dong province, coffee prices were recorded to decrease by 2,500 VND/kg.

Coffee prices continued their downward trend, mainly due to slow trading activity and increased supplies from other major robusta producers such as Brazil and Indonesia. According to Reuters, traders said that although current production from these two countries is not really abundant, the harvesting process has started and supplies will continue to increase in the coming time.

World coffee prices today

Coffee prices on the world market fell sharply last week on two exchanges:

On the London Stock Exchange, the online price of robusta coffee for July 2025 delivery closed last week at $4,790/ton, down 1.5% ($75/ton) from the previous week; the September futures contract fell 1.5% ($74/ton), reaching $4,786/ton.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for July 2025 delivery decreased by 1.3% (4.6 cents/lb) last week, down to 361 cents/lb; the September 2025 futures contract decreased by 1% (3.8 cents/lb), down to 358.7 cents/lb.

Data from Hedgepoint Global Markets shows that the robusta harvest in Brazil has progressed by about 11%. Meanwhile, the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) forecasts that coffee production in Vietnam and Indonesia will increase in the 2025–2026 crop year. Specifically, Vietnam may reach an output of 31 million bags (60 kg), of which robusta accounts for 30 million bags. The increase in coffee production is believed to be to take advantage of previously high prices.

In the export market, Vietnam’s grade 2 robusta (5% black and broken) is being offered at a premium of $50-70/ton over the July contract on LIFFE. Meanwhile, in Indonesia, Sumatra robusta is currently being offered at a premium of $20/ton over the June contract, compared to last week’s May contract, adjusting for the downward trend on the London exchange.

Another trader said the discount to the July contract is now only $30, down significantly from $70 last week, due to the weakening dollar while domestic coffee prices remain relatively stable.
