Domestic coffee price list updated at 4:30 a.m. on January 6, 2025 |
In the early days of 2025, experts made not-so-optimistic predictions about the amount of coffee exported from Vietnam. According to them, maintaining the export turnover achieved in 2024 will face many difficulties. Normally, the first quarter of each year is an important time, with large export volumes playing a decisive role in the total turnover for the whole year.
However, in this short-term context, the forecast for Vietnam's coffee output in the next few years brings positive signals. Domestic experts say that thanks to the good prices of coffee in the past two years, farmers have been motivated to invest in caring for their gardens. This has led to a clear increase in productivity.
In particular, the coffee replanting project of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in coordination with the World Bank in the period 2014-2022, has brought positive results in both productivity and output. However, in many provinces of the Central Highlands, the newly planted area is still increasing but there are no specific statistics, making it difficult to forecast total output.
In this context, to cope with the challenges from short-term exports, timely and effective strategies are needed to optimize production and improve coffee quality. At the same time, closely monitoring the international market situation will also be an important factor in orienting the development of the Vietnamese coffee industry in the future.
