Latest pig price news

Poultry also recorded an impressive increase, reaching 11.3 million heads (up 18%), with chickens accounting for nearly 10 million heads (up 25.21%). Meanwhile, buffalo and cattle herds decreased slightly, by 6.12% and 5.36% respectively, but the growth of pigs and poultry herds created a positive outlook for food supply.
Short-term forecast: Pig prices maintain sideways trend
In the short term, the live hog market in Long An and the Southern and Central Highlands regions is expected to remain flat or fluctuate slightly. Consumption demand has not increased dramatically after the summer, while supply has been maintained stable thanks to modern farming models. If the weather is favorable and production costs do not fluctuate strongly, the live hog price may continue to be stable next week. However, the risk of disease and fluctuations in input prices remain challenges that need to be monitored.
