The domestic pig market continued to plummet in all three regions on the morning of July 21, marking the second consecutive week of price declines. Pig prices are currently fluctuating between VND61,000 and VND66,000 per kilogram.
In the North , the price of live pigs decreased sharply by 2,000 - 3,000 VND/kg compared to the beginning of the week, commonly at 63,000 - 64,000 VND/kg.
Some localities such as Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Son La are trading at the lowest level, while Hanoi and Bac Giang maintain higher levels but still do not exceed 64,000 VND/kg.
The Central and Central Highlands regions are no exception as pork prices have dropped sharply, especially in Gia Lai at only 61,000 VND/kg.
Provinces such as Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak and Nghe An are also maintaining low prices of 63,000 - 64,000 VND/kg. Meanwhile, Thanh Hoa and Binh Dinh have the highest prices in the region, ranging from 65,000 to 66,000 VND/kg.
The South recorded a smaller decrease, with provinces such as Dong Nai, Can Tho, Tay Ninh and Ca Mau trading around 66,000 VND/kg, Ho Chi Minh City and Vinh Long down to 64,000 - 65,000 VND/kg.
