Gia Lai: Urgent evacuation of 207 households from flood-risk areas

On the evening of November 18, Mr. Pham Van Duc, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ia Tul commune (Gia Lai province), said that the locality had urgently evacuated all 207 households of Ju village out of the flood risk area.

Buon Ju is the lowest area of ​​Ia Tul commune. Heavy rains caused a lot of water to flow in and the water level is forecast to continue to rise tonight. Facing the risk of insecurity, threatening property and life, the commune authorities quickly evacuated households to relatives' houses in higher locations or to cultural houses and schools. The evacuation was completed at 5:00 p.m. the same day. During the evacuation, the locality provided necessities, ensuring that people did not go hungry.
