From November 18 to the morning of November 19, heavy rains continued in Ia Pa commune, Gia Lai province, causing many low-lying areas to be deeply flooded and water levels to rise rapidly. Currently, local authorities are urgently implementing response measures, mobilizing forces to support people in emergency evacuation, protecting property and ensuring safety of life.
During the night and morning of November 19, the Party Committee and leaders of the People's Committee of Ia Pa commune were present at flooded areas to directly direct flood prevention and control work.
The communal police force and local security forces were mobilized to the maximum, coordinating with people to raise their properties, urgently evacuate households at risk of being isolated by water, and at the same time organizing rescue for those trapped.
According to a quick report from the Ia Pa Commune People's Committee, as of the morning of November 19, no casualties have been recorded in the area. However, to ensure safety, all students in the commune have been given a day off from school since November 19 until further notice. Regarding housing, there have been no cases of collapsed or blown-off roofs, but more than 70 households have been flooded with water levels of less than 1 meter.

Notably, Mo Nang 2 village with 341 households and more than 1,500 people is isolated due to high water at the spillway, making travel and supplies difficult.
In response, the People's Committee of the commune has directed forces to be on duty at both ends of the overflowing tunnel, to put up ropes and signs, and to prevent people and vehicles from passing through. At the same time, the forces regularly check, assist in evacuation, protect property, and are ready to deploy rescue vehicles if the water continues to rise.
In addition to flooding, the erosion of the Ba River banks is also complicated. In the villages of H'Lil 1, H'Lil 2, Ama Rin 3, the erosion is 1.4km long; in the village of Plơi Rngol, the erosion is up to 1.8km long.

Some sections have reached the kitchen walls of three households, forcing them to be evacuated to safety. Worryingly, the landslide threatens to directly affect the main road of Plơi Rngol village, making it difficult to travel and transport goods.
In addition to the deep flooding in Ia Pa commune, the flood situation also caused traffic between Ia Pa commune and AyunPa ward to be cut off. At the head of Quy Duc bridge (in AyunPa ward), the water level rose high, causing deep flooding, posing a potential safety risk to people and vehicles.

Currently, the authorities have urgently set up blockades, put up warning ropes and resolutely not allowed vehicles to pass through, to ensure absolute safety for the people.
Faced with the complicated developments of floods, the Ia Pa commune authorities recommend that people absolutely do not pass through areas with fast-flowing water, closely monitor information from authorities and be ready to evacuate when requested.
At the same time, local forces continue to maintain guard duty and regularly check flooded and landslide areas to promptly handle arising situations.
