On August 18, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee held a conference to promote exports to the Chinese market in 2025, attracting the participation of more than 150 enterprises, corporations, industry associations, cooperatives... Thereby, Gia Lai agricultural products have the opportunity to deeply access the Chinese market.

The Chinese partner side included representatives from the Guangxi Provincial Big Data Development Bureau and 30 import-export enterprises of this province.

At the conference, Ms. Do Thi Minh Tram, Deputy Director of the Department of Innovation, Green Transformation and Industrial Promotion ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) informed that China is one of Vietnam's leading trade partners, with export turnover to China in 2024 reaching nearly 61 billion USD, accounting for more than 15% of the country's total export turnover.

This is a large consumer market, geographically close, with diverse and stable demand, especially for agricultural products, seafood, food, wooden products, minerals and consumer goods.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Thanh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said that Gia Lai's total agricultural land area is about 977,000 hectares, with a total annual planting area of ​​770,000 hectares, suitable for growing key crops such as coffee, pepper, rubber, fruit trees and some high-value medicinal plants.

Meanwhile, many Vietnamese agricultural and aquatic products with strengths and high value such as durian (including fresh and frozen products), bird's nest, fresh coconut, passion fruit... have been officially exported to the Chinese market.

According to Mr. Thanh, the conference on promoting exports to the Chinese market in 2025 is an opportunity for businesses and investors in Gia Lai to access information and seek business cooperation opportunities with the Chinese market, one of Vietnam's largest and most potential trade partners.

This is also a forum for exchanging, removing difficulties, promoting bilateral trade, contributing to increasing export turnover and enhancing the value of the province's goods.

“Gia Lai always considers the legitimate interests and success of investors as its own interests and success. Investors will be given all favorable conditions to successfully implement projects and develop sustainably in the locality,” the Vice Chairman of the province affirmed.

At the conference, enterprises of Gia Lai province and Guangxi province signed 7 memorandums of understanding on cooperation in the field of agricultural products.
