Rice prices in the Mekong Delta region today, April 21st, remained unchanged compared to yesterday.
Specifically, according to updates from the An Giang Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the price of Dai Thom 8 rice fluctuates around 8,000 - 8,200 VND/kg, fresh Long An glutinous rice is 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg; IR 504 is at 7,300 - 7,500 VND/kg; and Japanese rice remains stable at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg.
Similarly, the price of OM 380 rice fluctuates around 7,400 - 7,500 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice remains at 7,600 - 7,700 VND/kg; OM 18 rice is at 8,000 - 8,200 VND/kg; and Nang Hoa 9 rice fluctuates around 7,600 - 7,700 VND/kg.
Over the past week, the price of fragrant rice varieties such as Dai Thom 8 and OM 18 increased by 200 VND/kg, while other rice varieties remained stable. In some localities, traders have started placing small orders for unripe summer-autumn rice, with prices remaining high.

Rice prices on the market remained stable after yesterday's upward adjustment. Currently, the price of IR 504 raw rice fluctuates around 11,600 - 11,700 VND/kg; finished IR 504 rice fluctuates at 13,900 - 14,000 VND/kg.
Regarding by-products, prices continue to remain stable. Accordingly, the price of IR 504 rice bran remains stable at 11,200 - 11,300 VND/kg; dry rice bran fluctuates around 5,300 - 5,400 VND/kg.
Over the past week, the price of all types of rice has increased by 300-500 VND/kg. The rice market remains stable.
At retail markets in An Giang province, rice prices remained stable today. Currently, the price of regular rice fluctuates around 15,000 - 16,000 VND/kg; Jasmine rice 17,500 - 19,000 VND/kg; Nang Nhen rice 26,000 VND/kg; long-grain Thai fragrant rice 19,000 - 20,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice 20,000 VND/kg; and Taiwanese fragrant rice 21,000 VND/kg.
Common white rice: 18,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice: 19,500 VND/kg; Soc regular rice: 18,000-19,000 VND/kg; Soc Thai rice: 18,500 VND/kg; Japanese rice: 22,000 VND/kg.
On the export market, Vietnam's export rice prices remained stable today after an upward adjustment. According to the Vietnam Food Association, standard 5% broken rice is currently at 582 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 557 USD/ton; and 100% broken rice remains stable at 480 USD/ton.
Over the past week, export rice prices have rebounded, increasing by $4-8 per ton. Although the increase is not yet significant, it signals a more promising outlook for the rice market. The rebound in Vietnamese rice prices is attributed to supply factors. Vietnam is currently nearing the end of its winter-spring rice harvest, resulting in a limited supply of high-quality rice and maintaining high domestic selling prices.
