Rice price today June 6: Rice export price decreased sharply

Rice prices today, June 6, 2025, in the Mekong Delta region fluctuated slightly. The market has a small volume, domestic rice of all kinds is relatively stable, fresh rice prices are stable, and export rice prices have decreased slightly compared to yesterday and mid-week.

Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, currently, raw rice CL 555 decreased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating at 8,300 - 8,400 VND/kg; raw rice OM 380 decreased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating at 7,850 - 7,950 VND/kg; raw rice IR 504 fluctuated at 7,900 - 8,000; raw rice 5451 fluctuated at 9,450 - 9,550 VND/kg; raw rice OM 18 fluctuated at 10,200 - 10,400 VND/kg; finished rice OM 380 fluctuated at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg; finished rice IR 504 fluctuated at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg.

As for by-products, the prices of by-products fluctuate from 7,400 - 10,000 VND/kg. Currently, OM 504 broken rice fluctuates at 7,400 - 7,600 VND/kg; the price of bran fluctuates at 9,000 - 10,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Recorded in localities today, the supply of 50404, OM 380 varieties is low, transactions are sporadic, prices fluctuate little, while prices of other types of rice are stable. In An Giang , the supply is low, transactions are still slow, rice prices fluctuate slightly. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the supply is low, rice of all types is stable. In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), buying and selling transactions are slow, raw rice of all types fluctuates little.

Sa Dec market canal ( Dong Thap ), the quantity is small, the market warehouse buys slowly, all kinds of rice are relatively stable. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), the quantity is sporadic, the price of new fragrant rice has increased slightly, and transactions are quiet.

At retail markets, rice prices of all kinds remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND14,000 - 15,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND16,000 - 18,000/kg; common white rice fluctuates at VND16,000/kg; Soc rice often fluctuates at VND16,000 - 17,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000 - 22,000/kg; Huong Lai rice 22,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice 21,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 20,000/kg; Soc Thai rice 20,000/kg; Japanese rice 22,000/kg.

In many localities today, dry rice is being traded slowly, mainly at market warehouses, farmers are selling better summer-autumn rice, prices are less volatile. In An Giang, farmers are selling summer-autumn rice slowly, trading is more active, prices are stable.

In Dong Thap, the Summer-Autumn rice harvest is slow, traders buy slowly, prices are stable. In Can Tho, traders ask to buy quite a lot, transactions are slow, prices are relatively stable. In Kien Giang, Summer-Autumn rice transactions are slow, prices fluctuate little.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices have decreased compared to the previous week. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 393 USD/ton (down 3 USD/ton) ; 25% broken rice is at 364 USD/ton (down 2 USD/ton) ; 100% broken rice is at 321 USD/ton (down 2 USD/ton) .
