On the New York market, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in December 2025 increased by 9.8 US cents/pound (2.43%) in yesterday's session to 412.35 US cents/pound. The contract for March 2026 increased by 7.6 US cents/pound (2.02%) to 384.2 US cents/pound.

In the Central Highlands region, coffee prices on November 19, 2025 fluctuated between 112,600 - 113,800 VND/kg, an increase of 3,200 - 4,100 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Lam Dong province recorded a sharp increase of 4,100 VND/kg in Di Linh, Bao Loc and Lam Ha, currently trading at 112,600 VND/kg.

In Dak Lak , Cu M'gar area purchased coffee at 113,700 VND/kg, 3,200 VND/kg higher than yesterday, while Ea H'leo and Buon Ho reached 113,600 VND/kg.

In Dak Nong (Lam Dong), traders in Gia Nghia and Dak R'lap increased prices by VND3,300/kg, respectively, with transaction prices reaching VND113,800 and VND113,700/kg.

Gia Lai province recorded that Chu Prong area is buying at 113,000 VND/kg, while Pleiku and La Grai reached 112,900 VND/kg, both up 3,200 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

In Lam Dong, although it is harvest season, the rains that lasted all day made the atmosphere gloomy and slowed down the harvest progress. High humidity prevented many farmers from starting the harvest on schedule, causing the whole region to stagnate.

In the fields, many coffee plantations have ripened, but heavy rains have caused the fruit to fall heavily at the roots. Some areas have entered the peak harvest stage, but due to a lack of workers, the amount of fruit falling in some places has reached 20%. Coffee growers can only watch helplessly as their year's work is affected when the harvest cannot be carried out.

For the people of the Central Highlands, coffee is the main source of income, so this loss is even more worrying. Fallen fruits are washed away by rainwater, especially in steep areas, making it almost impossible to collect them all. For farmers, this is a huge loss during the time considered the "Tet" of the coffee industry.

However, many households still try to harvest in the rain, patiently picking up every remaining fruit. For them, each coffee fruit is the result of a year’s labor, so no matter how difficult it is, they still try to minimize the damage.

Pepper prices increased slightly

Pepper market on the morning of November 19, 2025 recorded an increase of 500 VND/kg, ranging from 145,000 - 146,500 VND/kg.

In Dak Lak, pepper price is at 146,500 VND/kg, 500 VND/kg higher than yesterday. Chu Se (Gia Lai) is purchased at 145,000 VND/kg, a similar increase. Dak Nong today reached 146,500 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

The Southeast region recorded pepper prices in Ba Ria - Vung Tau at 145,000 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg; Binh Phuoc also maintained the price at 145,000 VND/kg, an equivalent increase.

According to the International Pepper Community (IPC), the most recent trading session showed that Lampung black pepper price (Indonesia) was at 7,087 USD/ton, down 0.16%; Muntok white pepper reached 9,649 USD/ton, down 0.16%.

Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper prices remained stable at USD 6,175/ton. Malaysia remained stable with ASTA black pepper prices at USD 9,200/ton and ASTA white pepper at USD 12,300/ton.

The price of Vietnamese black pepper today remains high, 500 g/l at 6,400 USD/ton, 550 g/l at 6,600 USD/ton; white pepper at 9,050 USD/ton.

In the key Central Highlands regions, pepper prices increased slightly by VND500, to about VND146,500/kg. The main reason came from the news that the US would exempt reciprocal taxes on pepper and spices that the country does not produce, creating positive expectations for the market.

The US is still the largest export market for Vietnamese pepper. However, due to the impact of the reciprocal tax policy, exports to the US in the past 10 months have decreased by 28.5%, to only 45,800 tons. The new tax exemption decision is considered a positive signal to help exports recover.

Despite the brighter outlook, the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association still recommends that businesses work closely with US importers on traceability and rules of origin. Previously, goods transiting to the US could be subject to tariffs of up to 40%, so compliance with standards became even more essential.

On the other hand, Vietnam's pepper imports increased significantly. By the end of October 2025, the total pepper import volume reached 37,783 tons, up 32% over the same period. Brazil continued to be the largest supplier with 18,481 tons, accounting for nearly 49%, followed by Cambodia and Indonesia.
